‘Fortune Cookie’ is a new Chinese restaurant that had opened in town by one of our own IU student (Obo).
It just started up late last December, and until yesterday, I didn’t have a opportunity to give it a try.

A gang of us Asians (mixing Taiwanese, Chinese, Malaysian and Singaporean) went in and ordered four dishes that we had thought simple, and traditional – deep fried kan-lan, wu-xi ribs, salt and pepper chicken, pig’s kidney.

The final overall verdict was a 5.3 on the restaurant (4, 5, 5.5, 6 and 6).
One of the main reason we concluded is that its new and its shorthanded in many ways.
With bubble-tea that is suppose to be coming out soon, we hope for the best for ‘Fortune Cookie’. :)

Fortune Cookies was my favorite Chinese delivery place in Bloomington. Unfortunately, as of late their delivery service has been abysmal. The delivery time is often well over an hour, food arrives anything but hot, and for the past four times, parts of my order have been missing. When called, it takes a long time for them to understand and (supposedly) rectify their error(s). Perhaps now that they’re well known, their service is bound to suffer. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from them again. One or two slip-ups, okay. But four? No.

Mr. Wang Kai

I had plenty of expectation for Fortune Cookies before they open up last year around this time. While some food are pretty good, the rest are sadly abysmal. I don’t expect them to have excellent service due to the lack of manpower. Hopefully they can turn things around, because in Bloomington, its not hard to make money when it comes to food. :(
